Millimeter measurements tell you how large a diamond will appear rather than a carat weight printed on a grading report.

3. Color -Many buyers are surprised by how subtle color differences can be. When comparing an F-color diamond to a G-color diamond under ideal lighting, the distinction is often negligible to the untrained eye. Even an F and H may appear remarkably similar in many situations. Once you begin comparing diamonds that are several grades apart, the differences become more noticeable.

4. Clarity -Clarity is important, but it's often the final deciding factor. Every GIA-graded center diamond we offer is selected to be free of noticeable inclusions without magnification. Under a microscope or 10x loupe, inclusions become easier to see—particularly in SI clarities—but many clients struggle to locate even VS inclusions, and forget about VVS inclusions. At this grade, almost any untrained eye cannot detect the microscopic inclusions.
